COU Secretariat Information

A secretariat of approximately 40 people conducts daily business to help the Council achieve its many objectives.

The senior administration is made up of the President; the Vice-President, Policy and Analysis; the Secretary to Council; the Executive Directors of Public Affairs, Ontario Council on Graduate Studies, Finance and Administration, Ontario Universities' Application Centre and Partnerships; the Director of Health Sciences; and the Chief Information Officer.

The COU Secretariat, in concert with its numerous committees and affiliates, provides many valuable services to Council members, the university community and the general public. These services include research, advocacy, communications and public affairs, and the central processing of university applications.
