Ensuring accessibility at Ontario universities

Share |

Ontario universities are strongly committed to accessibility and are focused on continuing to advance this goal. Over the last few decades, our campuses have put in place important measures to identify, prevent and remove barriers for persons with disabilities. Universities are strongly committed to achieving the objectives of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

In order to address these issues, a COU Reference Group on Accessibility for People with Disabilities was formed. The group serves as a forum for discussion on issues related to accessibility and disability in Ontario universities, monitoring and analyzing developments of the AODA and proposing responses as required.
