National Granting Councils
The Government of Canada, through Acts of Parliament [1], has established three national research and granting bodies – the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
Funding from Canada’s three national granting councils promotes and supports research in the fields of health, natural sciences, engineering, social sciences and humanities.
